Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

At Good Faith Renovations, we are committed to a fair, transparent and professional refund and cancellation process for our customers throughout Dallas–Fort Worth and surrounding Texas communities.

We understand that plans may change. This policy is designed to protect both our customers and our company by clearly outlining the terms that apply to remodeling contracts, construction projects, maintenance services, material purchases, custom orders, deposits, design services and other project-related payments. It applies to all residential and commercial services provided by Good Faith Renovations.

1. Refund eligibility

A. Cancellation within 24 hours

Customers who submit a written cancellation request within twenty-four (24) hours from the time payment is received may be eligible for a full refund, provided that:

  • Work has not started.
  • Materials have not been ordered or purchased.
  • Labor has not been scheduled.
  • Design, engineering, fabrication, production or customization has not begun.
  • Permits, inspections, deliveries or third-party services have not been requested.
  • No project-related expenses have been incurred on behalf of the customer.

Any documented expenses already incurred may be deducted from the approved refund.

B. Cancellation between 24 and 72 hours

For remodeling projects, construction contracts, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, maintenance services, stock materials or similar purchases canceled after the initial 24-hour period but within seventy-two (72) hours from the time payment is received, a 35% cancellation and restocking fee will apply. This fee helps cover administrative processing, project scheduling, material handling, vendor processing fees, restocking charges, design preparation, estimating and planning, labor scheduling, project coordination, and office and administrative expenses.

Refunds are generally not available for cancellations made more than 72 hours after payment, unless otherwise required by law or specifically stated in a signed agreement.

C. Custom orders and design services

Custom orders include, but are not limited to, custom cabinets, countertops, special-order materials, custom windows and doors, structural components, engineering services, design services, shop drawings, custom fabrication and other made-to-order products.

If a customer has ordered a custom product, paid a deposit, and Good Faith Renovations has already completed the design or planning process, the customer may be eligible for a refund of up to 50% of the deposit, provided that written cancellation is received within 24 hours of payment. The remaining portion compensates Good Faith Renovations for consultations, site measurements, design preparation, project planning, administrative services, scheduling, vendor coordination, engineering review and project preparation.

Once fabrication, production, material ordering, customization or installation has begun, deposits and related payments become non-refundable.

2. Non-refundable circumstances

Refunds are generally not available when:

  • The cancellation request is submitted outside the applicable cancellation period.
  • Work has already started with the customer's authorization.
  • Materials, fixtures, cabinets, equipment or products have been ordered or purchased.
  • Production, fabrication, customization or design work has begun.
  • Labor, subcontractors, equipment or project dates have been scheduled.
  • Permits, engineering, inspections, deliveries or third-party services have been requested or completed.
  • Materials cannot be returned, or suppliers or manufacturers charge cancellation or restocking fees.
  • Services have already been partially or fully performed.
  • The signed contract identifies deposits or payments as non-refundable.
  • The customer delays, suspends or cancels the project after labor or materials have been committed.

3. Deductions from approved refunds

Any approved refund may be reduced by documented expenses already incurred, including labor performed, material purchases, design fees, engineering costs, permit and inspection fees, delivery charges, administrative expenses, credit card or payment-processing fees, vendor charges, restocking fees, equipment rentals, project-management costs and other documented project-related expenses.

When possible, approved refunds will be processed using the original method of payment. Processing times may vary depending on the financial institution, payment processor, supplier returns and project circumstances.

4. How to request a refund or cancellation

All refund or cancellation requests must be submitted in writing and should include: your full name, project address, contract/estimate/proposal/invoice or order number, date of payment, description of the project or service, reason for cancellation, and preferred contact information.

Important: submitting a request does not automatically stop scheduled work. A cancellation becomes effective only after Good Faith Renovations provides written confirmation.

5. Review process

After receiving the written request, Good Faith Renovations will review payment records, signed agreements, approved estimates, change orders, work completed, materials purchased, vendor expenses, labor commitments, third-party costs and applicable cancellation terms. Customers will receive written notification of the outcome.

6. Contract terms

This policy establishes general cancellation and refund terms. If a signed contract, proposal, estimate, purchase agreement, change order or service agreement contains different cancellation or refund provisions, the signed agreement shall govern. This policy is governed by the applicable laws of the State of Texas.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms & Conditions.
